Too Beautiful To Last
Too Beautiful to Last - Engelbert Humperdinck (1972)
Here's a peek into the life of Grand Duchess Anastasia of Russia (1901-1918). It turns out she was a great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Here is the geneology:
Albert and Victoria... Princess Alice of the U.K. (1843-1878)
Alice and Louis IV, Grand Duke of Hesse... Alexandra Feodorovna (1872-1918)
Alexandra and Nicholas II of Russia... Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna (1901-1918)
So Victoria and Albert had Alice in 1843. Alice married Louis IV and had Alexandra in 1872 when she was 26. Alexandra married Russian Czar Nicholas II and had Anastasia in 1901 when she was 29. And the entire Romanov family including Nicholas II, Alexandra, Anastasia and her four siblings were all murdered by the Russian Secret Police in July, 1918.
